Carrots coated with a yummy butter, brown sugar and ginger sauce. I grew up eating these in Texas. Easy, quick and yummy!-- GREAT way to get kids to enjoy this veggie! If you like a lot of sauce double the sauce ingredients. I posted this less 'saucy' to keep the fat and calories down. The sauce is yummy and great on rice or just on a spoon! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I am so honored that this simple little recipe of mine has been so well received. Thank you all for your reviews! Recipe is originally from the Food Network courtesy of Rachael Ray, but I tweaked it to fit our tastes. Very quick & easy shrimp recipe that's done on the stovetop. If your tastes desire spicy & garlic, then this recipe is just for you. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Chippie1)

I love this recipe because it is so easy and it calls for hardly any ingredients, and I always have these ingredients in my pantry. This recipe came from a good friend's mother, who was always asked to bake the ham for get-togethers and family dinners. Now I get those requests. People who ordinarily aren't too fond of ham rave over this one. After I carve, I spoon a little of the glaze over the meat in the platter - yummmm! (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Boopster)

This is a simple recipe I have adapted from Company's Coming. It is simple to throw together the marinade in the morning before going off to work and coming home to an easy dinner to prepare at night. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Kate in Ontario)

This Chinese fried rice has the flavor those other recipes are missing. Tastes like takeout. I want to dedicate this dish to Bergy, whose recipe "AM & B's Indonesian Mehoon" has inspired this dish. Make sure you season your rice with salt before it cooks. Add some butter to the cooking water, as well. Other seasonings should be added before you cook, as well, so it has time to get inside the rice. If you like sesame flavor, add 1 tsp. of it after you add the green onions, but do not use it as a cooking oil because it easily burns. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Sue Lau)

Have you ever posted a recipe and just love reading the reviews for it? This is my signature potato salad. Whenever there is a pot luck function at work, I am TOLD that I have to bring the potato salad. No one else is allowed to and I am never given a choice. Thank you everyone who ever tried this potato salad and for leaving such glowing reviews for it. You all have made me look so good. I personally can not stand eggs or raw onions, so I leave them out but I know most people don't think a potato salad is complete without them. Thanks again for so many wonderful reviews. (psssst....check out my Creamy Macaroni Salad as well. It shares the dressing with this recipe but tastes much much different because of the different ingredients) Please see Homemade Fresh Bacon Bits for bacon bit tips. Amazing flavor, and so simple! No salt needed here. In fact, you may wish to use half the ranch dressing mix to cut back on the saltiness. Found this Crock-Pot pot roast recipe on of a website called www.recipegoldmine.com. It's all the rage there, so I thought I'd try it. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Yooper)

We have a Japanese girl, Tomoko, living with us, and tonight she and I cooked a Japanese dinner for us and her friends. She phoned her mum,Toshiko, in Japan for this, as it's her favourite recipe, and I wanted to share it here. It's simple and so good, and Tomoko, who is only 16, did such a good job of cooking this, then translating the recipe to English for me. *The liquid will thicken to a glaze if you are patient. It just takes a bit of time. If you feel your chicken is cooked (and going to overcook) remove it before going on to reduce the liquid. Same thing, if you must use breast meat, remove it (so it doesn't dry out) and continue reducing the liquid . If you do it this way rather than thickening with cornstarch you will get a richer glaze and not need to add stock or broth instead of the water. It just takes patience. AND NOTE: A glaze is sticky and coats the meat, this is NOT a sauce. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - JustJanS)
